HUNTSVILLE, AL [May 14, 2025] – ENVENTION, a leading innovator in advanced computing solutions, today announced the award of a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The award supports the continued development of their proposal Z2.02-1003, titled “Prototyping a Resilient, Versatile, and Future-Proof Spaceflight Coprocessor Platform.” The project advances NASA’s next-generation spaceflight systems by prototyping radiation-tolerant, GPU-accelerated FPGA hardware capable of DSP and AI/ML algorithms.
The effort is led by Principal Investigator Jamie Kelly, who brings expertise in embedded systems and fault-tolerant computing to the forefront of this innovation. “This achievement builds on ENVENTION’s Phase I success and highlights our ongoing commitment to advancing mission-critical technologies for government and defense applications,” said ENVENTION President, Courtney Shoemaker.
