Long brings over two decades of military service and technical expertise to serve ENVENTION’s AMD customers.
HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA, UNITED STATES, March 27, 2026 — ENVENTION, LLC proudly welcomes Eric Long to its growing team of defense professionals. Following more than two decades of distinguished service in the U.S. Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) community, Long brings a wealth of operational and technical expertise shaped by leadership roles across both tactical and strategic environments.
Throughout a career of over 21 years, Long has remained steadfast in his commitment to the warfighter, ensuring that deployed forces are equipped with dependable, cutting-edge capabilities to succeed in complex operational theaters. His experience includes deep involvement in system integration, lifecycle management, and advancing AMD technologies to meet evolving threats.
At ENVENTION, Long will serve as a SCRUM Master and key AMD Subject Matter Expert, contributing to critical modernization efforts within the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program. In this capacity, he will collaborate across engineering and integration teams to strengthen system performance and interoperability, helping deliver mission-ready solutions that empower warfighters globally. Long’s passion for service and dedication to excellence aligns seamlessly with ENVENTION’s commitment to innovation and its reputation for delivering high-impact solutions to the defense community.

I have known Eric for nearly 15 years, having served directly alongside him for four years and through two deployments. In that time and as we remained in contact throughout his career, I witnessed how his grit, intellect, and charisma elevate every organization he serves. This rare combination of character led me to recruit Eric the moment I learned of his plans to retire from the military.
